LBL has decades of experience in Corporate Finance, including M&A, primary equity and financing. Experience includes working on the buy-side and the sell-side, on spin-offs, public-to-privates, IPOs, privatisation and on cross-border and Takeover Code transactions.  Completed transactions include:

  • the sales of Hafnia Holdings af 1992 A/S, TMD Advertising Holdings PLC, Analysis Holdings PLC, AB Electronic Products PLC; strategic advice to Sema Group PLC, HM Government on the privatisation of the Electricity Supply Industry in England and Wales and Mercury Communications on a bid for a mobile telephony licence for a major EU territory
  • the sales of London-listed Freshbake Foods to Campbell Soup, Boddingtons Brewery to Whitbread, Scotia Haven for London-listed Yorkshire Foods Group to private equity sponsor Murray Johnston, 3i-owned Braes to Natraceutical SA, K-Salat and Uniq Belgium for London-listed Uniq to Rieber of Norway and Gilde Participaties, 75% of Glanbia Foods UK to Milk Link, the UK dairy co-op and the sale of MBMG for Premier Foods Plc to management
  • the take-private of London-listed WT Foods plc backed by Management and Bridgepoint Capital
  • the provision of strategic and tactical advice to the UK farmers supplying Arla on their investment in Arla Foods UK
  • the acquisitions of Llandyrnog Creamery by Milk Link and Grampian Country Foods by VION, the Dutch animal protein co-op
  • the negotiation of an MIP for the management of Bart Spices
  • advice to Royal Mail Group Property on two JVs, leading to a renewal of one and the re-purchase of the minority of the other
  • advising the CEO of Eaton House Schools on the sale to and re-investment in the Sovereign Capital backed acquisition vehicle
  • advising the family owners of Chiswick & Bedford Park Prep School on the sale to Dukes Education
  • advising the family owners of Hampton Court House School on the sale to Dukes Education
